At the moment, it has been established that the suspects were involved in six thefts of cars in the Moscow and Vyborg districts of St. Petersburg, as well as in the Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region. One of the foreign cars was stolen right from the parking lot of Pulkovo airport. “Four men – active members of this group were detained in places of residence in St. Petersburg, Gatchina and Kingisepp. Among them: the alleged organizer of the illegal activity – a 57-year-old previously convicted native of Estonia, two direct perpetrators of thefts, who drove cars to the place of “sludge” in specially rented garages in the Gostilitsy village of the Gatchinsky region of the Leningrad region, as well as a 31-year-old automobile electrician who participated in the thefts, “it was reported.
Seven more accomplices have been identified, who were engaged in the storage of stolen cars, interrupting numbers, driving them to a neighboring state. They will be brought in as suspects.
Criminal cases were initiated under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. Four suspects have been detained, and the issue of their arrest is being decided.
