An unknown person stole a package of emeralds in the apartment of a businessman in St. Petersburg, as well as money in different currencies, the total damage amounted to almost 600 thousand rubles, according to the press service of the GUMVD in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. “The general director of the commercial organization told the police that an unknown intruder entered to his apartment, located on the third floor of one of the houses on Pulkovskaya Street, where he stole a package with precious stones (emerald), 6 thousand rubles, 80 euros, 250 US dollars, 450 yuan, 20,000 Indian rupees and disappeared from the scene. Material damage amounted to 589,999 rubles, “- said in a statement.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”.
