MOSCOW, March 3 – RIA Novosti. Two residents of Podolsk were arrested, who forced the disabled to beg and beat them if they did not fulfill the “norm”, said Olga Vradiy, a senior assistant to the head of the Russian State Civil Service Administration for the Moscow Region.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported the arrest of two residents of Podolsk near Moscow, who forced four disabled people to beg and beat them if they did not fulfill the “norm” or tried to escape. According to preliminary data, the suspects from August 2018 to March 2021 held the victims in a rented house located in the specified city.
“The investigator of the Investigation Department for the city of Podolsk of the GSUK of Russia for the Moscow Region charged two local residents with the use of slave labor (part 3 of Article 127.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). At the request of the investigator, a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen by the court against them,” said Vradius.
She noted that interrogations, searches, seven confrontations, as well as forensic medical examinations were carried out in the case. The investigation of the criminal case continues.
