Russia approved a roadmap for the development of demand for microelectronics

MOSCOW, March 3 – RIA Novosti. The Presidium of the Government Commission on Digital Development has approved a roadmap for the formation and development of demand for Russian electronic and microelectronic products, the press service of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, who heads the commission, said.

“As part of the roadmap, priority areas for the development of the domestic electronics and microelectronics market will be formed. In particular, end-to-end projects will be identified and anchor customers selected – the largest consumers of the electronics industry, with whom the government will conclude agreements on interaction and support of demand for domestic electronics,” said Chernyshenko.

As specified in the message, key Russian state and commercial consumers of electronics and microprocessors, development institutions, and federal authorities will be involved in the implementation of the roadmap measures.

“The formation of demand in the form of a long-term order for civilian products of the radio-electronic industry is a necessary condition for its development,” Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, who is responsible for the development and production of radio-electronic products in Russia, said at the meeting.

According to the roadmap, it is planned to create competence centers by customer companies that will develop functional requirements for electronics and software. In addition, it provides for the provision of subsidies to developers of electronics and microprocessors, as well as reimbursement of costs for the introduction and development of a domestic product.

“The main goal of the roadmap is to create support measures in Russia to develop demand for Russian electronic and microelectronic products in order to get Russian products in demand on the market, competitive in price and quality, in the coming years,” the statement says.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed the Ministry of Digital Development, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, to work out the issue of creating a council of chief designers for the development of Russian electronics under the presidium of the government commission on digital development.

“The key to this story is the composition of the council. It will include representatives of large Russian companies, which, in fact, are future consumers of Russian electronics, as well as major manufacturers, developers of the electronics industry, representatives of manufacturing consortia and centers of excellence for end-to-end projects. development of specialized electronics and have the technical capabilities of pilot testing, “said Chernyshenko, whose words were conveyed by his press service.

“We will ensure the staging and continuity of the entire chain – from market demand to the sale of finished competitive products, and thereby import substitution and promotion of domestic solutions. Thus, we plan to stop the vicious practice of producing products that are not in demand in the Russian market in the future,” Chernyshenko said.

The main tasks of the new structure will be to prepare proposals for the presidium on key areas and mechanisms for the development of radio electronics and related industries. Council members will evaluate sectoral projects that qualify for government support measures. This work will be carried out in coordination with federal and regional authorities.

It is specified that members of the board of chief designers will take part in the work on a voluntary basis.
