ROSTOV-ON-DON, 2 March – RIA Novosti. The police will prosecute the parents of an 11-year-old schoolboy who was drying shoes over the Eternal Flame in the center of Elista, the Russian MIA Office for Kalmykia reports.
Earlier, a photo of a teenager drying shoes at the “Eternal Flame” memorial appeared on social networks.
The police identified the teenager. It turned out to be an 11-year-old local resident – a student of one of the city schools. He explained that “he did not realize the illegality of his act and until now did not understand the historical value of the memorial.”
“Parents of a teenager will be brought to justice for failure to fulfill their responsibilities for the upbringing of minors,” the police headquarters said.
