Twitter will start tagging posts with misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines

“Starting today, we will start tagging tweets that may contain misleading information about COVID-19 vaccines,” the message said.

The company noted that the measure will be in addition to Twitter's “ongoing efforts” to remove the most harmful false information regarding the coronavirus. It is noted that the social network has already deleted more than 8.4 thousand tweets related to COVID-19 and took action against 11.5 million accounts around the world.

In addition, Twitter promises to punish violators of the company's rules based on a system that provides for indefinite blocking of the account for repeated violations.
