BARNAUL, 2 Mar – RIA Novosti. The head of the government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin assured that the program “Zemsky Teacher” will continue to exist, now teachers are actively involved in it.
The prime minister arrived on Tuesday with a working trip to the Altai Territory. As part of the trip, he visited secondary school No. 53 in Barnaul, where he met with teachers, including participants in the “Zemsky Teacher” program.
“Of course it will. Firstly, it does not just exist, but actively exists. We record a very large number of teachers who have gone on the program” Zemsky Teacher “, – said Mishustin at a meeting with teachers in response to a question about whether this program will continue to exist.
Under the federal program “Zemsky Teacher”, which has been implemented since last year at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, teachers under 55 who have come to work in rural settlements, workers' settlements, urban-type settlements or cities with a population of less than 50 thousand people will receive a one-time payment in the amount of one million rubles. Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Andrey Nikolaev reported in November that this program, originally designed for 2020-2022, is planned to be extended until 2023.
