The accused of the murder of a Nizhny Novgorod family was arrested

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, 2 Mar – RIA Novosti. A citizen of Uzbekistan Sharofiddin Amirov, accused of the brutal murder of a family of four, including a child, in a village near Nizhny Novgorod, was arrested for two months, RIA Novosti correspondent reports from the hall of the Moscow District Court.

“The court ruled the petition of the investigation to satisfy and choose a preventive measure against Amirov in the form of detention for a period of two months – until April 27, 2021, inclusive,” Judge Azamat Ionov announced the decision.

The investigation insisted on detention, focusing on the fact that Amirov, being a citizen of another state, while remaining at large, can hide from the preliminary investigation body.

Amirov himself said that he did not object to being taken into custody, as he feared for his life and health.

According to the lawyer, the reason for the tragedy was that her client “was in a difficult psycho-traumatic situation for a long time,” because, according to him, he was paid little and was not given a passport so that he could leave.

Investigator Ilya Chuev said that the accused had told in detail about what had happened. In addition, after the murder, he stole money and jewelry worth more than 1 million rubles.

According to the investigation, on February 28, the suspect, who worked as an auxiliary worker in a household located in the village of Kudma, out of selfish motives attacked a 64-year-old pensioner with a knife in the garage, and then at his house on his 63-year-old wife. He then killed their 41-year-old daughter-in-law and her 5-year-old son. Having stolen a large sum of money and valuables, he disappeared.

On the same day, a 14-year-old girl, who was in class, could not get through to her relatives at home, got in touch with her father, who was in another region. He asked a neighbor to go to his house. Having discovered that the neighbors had a tragedy, he called the law enforcement officers. A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons).

The murder suspect was detained in the Vladimir region on the evening of February 28, on March 1 he was taken to Nizhny Novgorod. As the investigators of the UK established, after the crime was committed, his acquaintance helped the suspect escape. Investigators of the UK also work with him.
