MOSCOW, March 2 – RIA Novosti. Russians will be able to receive benefits in the course of work, which implies caring for family members who need it on an ongoing basis, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported.
According to media reports, the corresponding bill, prepared by members of the Federation Council, entered the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the government. The initiative assumes that people caring for people with disabilities of the first group will be given additional two-week leave at work at their own expense.
The experts positively assessed the proposal, but noted the need to expand the category of citizens who will receive various labor benefits, as well as establish clear criteria for determining the circle of persons who need care.
Now, according to the law, an employee can take unpaid leave, if such is fixed by a collective agreement, if there are two or more children under the age of 14, a minor child with disabilities. The same is provided for single parents with a child under the age of 14.
