Muscovites told about the cancellation of what restrictions on COVID-19 they are waiting for

MOSCOW, March 2 – RIA Novosti. Most Muscovites (38%), in the event of the lifting of restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, are waiting for the cancellation of the mask mode, every fifth – the restoration of free travel, and only 11% – the resumption of public events, a study of the online job search service SuperJob showed, the results of which are at the disposal of RIA Novosti.

The study is based on data from a survey of 1.6 thousand representatives of the economically active population of Moscow over 18 years old. It was held from February 26 to March 1, 2021. “Thirty-eight percent of Muscovites would like to cancel the mask regime. Every fifth (21%) – restoration of free travel for Muscovites over 65 years old. Every ninth (11%) – resumption of mass events in the traditional format, “the study says. Muscovites aged 35-44 (42%) dream of canceling the mandatory wearing of masks.

It is noted that only 16% believe that it is too early to remove coronavirus restrictions in Moscow. The rest of the respondents found it difficult to answer.

Women more often than men spoke about the need to remove blocking of transport cards for Muscovites over 65 years old (25% and 17%, respectively). “For residents with an income of up to 50 thousand rubles, the removal of this measure is more relevant than for citizens with a higher level of income (23% versus 17% among Muscovites with a salary of 80 thousand rubles). Among respondents over 45 years old about the need to restore free travel for citizens over 65 years old say 28% “, – say analysts.

At the same time, young people under 24 and Muscovites with a salary of 80,000 rubles or more are more likely than others to want to restore the possibility of holding mass events in a traditional format (14% each).

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that there is a steady trend in Moscow to reduce the incidence of coronavirus. The mayor also expressed hope that the restrictions in the capital will continue to be lifted.
