Milonov asked the Ministry of Internal Affairs to check if Navalnaya has dual citizenship

MOSCOW, March 2 – RIA Novosti. State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov sent a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with a request to check whether Yulia Navalnaya has dual citizenship or a foreign residence permit.

The request was addressed to Valentina Kazakova, Head of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The text of the document is at the disposal of RIA Novosti. “The high intensity of visits to the Federal Republic of Germany in recent months by the designated person and the appearance of such information about dual citizenship in aggregate gives rise to ambiguous thoughts and suspicions. In this regard, I ask you to conduct an appropriate check and report the presence (or absence) Yulia Navalnaya has dual citizenship or a residence permit (long-term visa) of a foreign state, “the letter says (RIA Novosti has it).

Milonov explained that in the past few days, domestic and foreign media have reported that Navalnaya, who is the wife of opposition blogger Alexei Navalny, has German citizenship. : no one deigned to clearly and clearly explain the genesis of such suspicions. Meanwhile, confirmation or, conversely, denial of the foreign citizenship of Yulia Navalny (just like her husband) would be an important addition to the information picture of events, the key participants in which they were clearly or indirectly, “the deputy said.

Earlier, in some Telegram channels, a photograph appeared, which allegedly shows a certificate of a citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany, issued in the name of Yulia Navalnaya. It was first published by designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev, but later he updated the post, indicating that the photo was fake. Even later, he apologized to Navalnaya in his Telegram channel, but she did not accept them and called Lebedev's public a fake. However, she did not comment on whether or not she has German citizenship or a residence permit.

The German Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti that the photo of Navalny's German identity card circulated on social networks was falsified. However, the department did not answer the question of RIA Novosti about whether this means that Yulia Navalnaya does not have either German citizenship or a residence permit in Germany.
