MOSCOW, March 2 – RIA Novosti. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to allocate more than 7.6 billion rubles for additional insurance guarantees to doctors fighting COVID-19, follows from a document posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
It is clarified that this is being done in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the provision of additional insurance guarantees to certain categories of medical workers in the context of the spread of a new coronavirus infection.
According to the decree, insured events in which a one-time insurance payment is provided are the death of a health worker when infected with COVID-19 while on duty, as well as harm to health or permanent disability of a health worker if he falls ill with coronavirus while performing his job.
“To allocate the Ministry of Finance of Russia in 2021 from the reserve fund of the government of the Russian Federation budgetary allocations in the amount of 7673987.5 thousand rubles to provide an inter-budgetary transfer to the budget of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation,” the order says.
