KRASNOYARSK, March 1 – RIA Novosti. Police investigators have opened a criminal case on violation of sanitary standards as a result of the mass poisoning of more than 70 schoolchildren with vegetable salads in Krasnoyarsk, the regional prosecutor's office told reporters.
Earlier, the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reported that more than 70 schoolchildren aged 7 to 14 were poisoned as a result of the consumption of vegetable salads. According to the department, schoolchildren from the Soviet and Oktyabrsky districts of Krasnoyarsk fell ill. A temporary ban was imposed on the activities of a food supplier, the materials of the administrative case were sent to the court for consideration.
According to the prosecutor's office, it was established that the facts of the disease with yersiniosis infection in 70 students were registered in 17 schools in Krasnoyarsk. The service of organizing school meals in these schools is provided by Razvitie LLC on the basis of a municipal contract.
“In connection with violations of the legislation on sanitary and epidemiological well-being, the prosecutor's office filed a complaint with Razvitie LLC, as well as with the main education department of the Krasnoyarsk administration, which acts as the founder of educational organizations. The criminal case initiated by the investigating body under Art. 236 of the Criminal Code -epidemiological rules) is put under the control of the regional prosecutor's office, “the prosecutor's office said.
In turn, the region's SSUK reported that a pre-investigation check was also organized on the fact of the mass poisoning of children.
