ROSTOV-ON-DON, 28 Feb – RIA Novosti. The son of a former deputy of the Duma of the Astrakhan region was driving a foreign car that hit pedestrians in Astrakhan, a spokesman for the regional governor's press service told reporters.
Earlier, a source in the regional law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti that on Sunday morning, on Admiralteyskaya Street, Toyota Camry ran into two pedestrians crossing the road, and then crashed into Hyundai Solaris, which was thrown onto a power line support from the impact. Pedestrians – a man and his wife – were hospitalized with fractures, the driver of the second foreign car received bruises and abrasions. According to the source, the perpetrator of the accident had signs of alcohol intoxication and behaved inappropriately – he was partially without clothes and resisted the police.
“The father of the perpetrator of the accident was a deputy of the United Russia in the fifth convocation – now the current sixth. At the moment he is not a deputy of the Duma,” – said a spokesman for the regional governor's press service.
According to some media reports, the military prosecutor and his wife were injured in the accident.
