MOSCOW, February 27 – RIA Novosti. Doctors Elena Malysheva and Andrey Prodeus told on the air of the program “Life is great!” on Channel One about “superfoods” that can prolong life.
According to doctors, we are talking about food rich in vegetable protein. So, replacing animal protein with vegetable protein in the diet reduces the risks of death from cancer, hypertension, stroke and heart attack.
Experts called unroasted peanuts, pumpkin seeds and walnuts the best plant foods.
“Peanuts are 25.8 grams of protein per 100 grams on average, pumpkin seeds – 24.5, walnuts – 24.1,” – said Prodeus.
Doctors also noticed that beans and peas are high in vegetable protein.
Malysheva added that the daily rate of vegetable protein is contained in 60 grams of peanuts, pumpkin seeds and walnuts.
