S.-PETERSBURG, February 27 – RIA Novosti. The suspects of involvement in the conflict in the cafe where the person died were detained in the Leningrad Region, the press service of the GUMVD for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reports.
“Criminal investigation officers detained a group of persons suspected of involvement in the conflict in a cafe, during which a person died from a gunshot wound,” it was reported.
According to the press service, on February 25, in the evening, the police of the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region received a message from a 28-year-old deliveryman of orders. He said that when he returned in a work car for another order to a cafe on Zatonnaya Street in Shlisselburg, three unknown persons asked to urgently take their friend, who was wounded in the thigh, to the hospital. Arriving at the hospital, he handed the 34-year-old wounded man to doctors and reported the incident to the police. The police found the body of a man in a cafe with a gunshot wound to the chest.
On the night of February 27, police at the places of residence detained five possible participants in the conflict aged 23 to 36 years. Among the detainees is a 33-year-old cafe owner.
“All of them are from the Caucasus, four of them have Russian citizenship. During the arrest, several weapons were confiscated from the attackers,” the report says.
During a search of entertainment establishments, the police seized illegal slot machines.
The conflict was the result of a meeting between two groups from the same diaspora, vying for the redistribution of spheres of economic influence, the report says.
