MAKHACHKALA, February 27 – RIA Novosti. Investigators have opened a criminal case against a 28-year-old resident of Makhachkala, suspected of selling her newborn baby, the press service of SUSK in the region reports.
According to the materials of the investigation, in December last year, the suspect offered a local resident to buy from her for 800 thousand rubles a child, whom she was supposed to give birth to in February. The woman agreed, but later reported this to the law enforcement agencies. The UK reported that on February 26, after a deal with a conditional buyer, law enforcement officers detained the suspect.
“She is suspected of committing a crime under paragraph” z “of part 2 of article 127.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (sale and purchase committed against a person who is knowingly helpless for the perpetrator),” the message says.
The department clarified that a complex of investigative actions is currently being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime committed and securing evidence of the suspect's guilt.
