The former head of the post office in the Chumikan village of the Tuguro-Chumikansky district of the Khabarovsk Territory stole more than 3 million rubles from the Russian Post JSC, she faces 10 years in prison, the regional prosecutor's office reported on Friday.
The investigation established that the accused stole over 3 million rubles using her official position from October 2017 to July 2020. Russian Post AO suffered large-scale damage.
“The indictment was approved under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (embezzlement, that is, theft of someone else's property entrusted to the perpetrator, committed by a person using his official position, on an especially large scale). The maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to 10 years from a fine of up to 1 million rubles, “- the supervisory authority said.
The case will be considered by the Nikolaev-on-Amur city court.
