Tiktoker student expelled after dancing on Mamayev Kurgan

VOLGOGRAD, February 25 – RIA Novosti. A student-tiktoker who danced half-naked near the sculpture “The Motherland Calls!” on the Mamayev Kurgan, was expelled from the Volgograd branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, according to the university website.

Earlier it was reported that on Wednesday the police detained a 20-year-old student of the Volgograd Institute of Management of the RANEPA, who posted a video on TikTok where he was stripped to the waist dancing at the foot of the famous sculpture on the Mamayev Kurgan. According to the police, he explained his actions by the fact that he wanted to attract subscribers to his channel. A criminal case was initiated against the young man under the article “Desecration of the bodies of the dead and their places of burial.”

According to the university, on Thursday at the disciplinary commission of the institute the incident with the student was considered, his behavior was called “unacceptable and monstrous.”

“Today, February 25, 2021, the leadership of the Volgograd Institute of Management decided to expel the 4th year student Kirill Yezhov,” the university's website says.
