Putin signed a law on accountability for corruption in organizations

MOSCOW, February 24 – RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law according to which the heads of subsidiary structures of economic organizations controlled by state authorities will be criminally liable for corruption crimes.

The corresponding document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

Previously, criminal liability for corruption could be imposed only on the heads of the economic structures themselves, where state authorities are the main shareholders.

Now the heads of subsidiaries of such structures will be held criminally liable for taking bribes, forgery, abuse of office or misuse of budget funds.
