A banner “Crimea is Ukraine” was placed in front of the Russian Embassy in Kiev

MOSCOW, February 24 – RIA Novosti. The Ukrainian Security Service has placed a billboard in front of the Russian Embassy in Kiev with the words “Crimea is Ukraine”. The SBU press service published a photo on its Telegram channel. “Just a photo, just the Russian Embassy in Kiev, just a statement of fact: Crimea is Ukraine,” the SBU said in a statement.

Ukraine considers Crimea to be its temporarily occupied territory. However, the Russian side has repeatedly stated that the residents of Crimea, in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter, voted for reunification with Russia. For example, Natalya Poklonskaya, deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma's international affairs committee, said that in 2014, Kiev actually exchanged the peninsula for the opportunity to occupy high government posts.
