TBILISI, 23 Feb – RIA Novosti. Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, after the arrest of the leader of the United National Movement opposition party Nika Melia by special forces, promised to bring the opposition's struggle against the authorities to victory.
Earlier on Tuesday, special forces detained the chairman of the opposition United National Movement party, Nika Melia, after which the opposition announced the beginning of a new wave of protests.
“We must learn to use all kinds of political methods of struggle. We must learn to defend ourselves and society. We must definitely lead our struggle to victory, and I am absolutely sure of this!” Saakashvili said in his video message on Facebook.
According to him, what is happening today is genocide, the desire of the Georgian authorities to completely destroy the country.
