In the event that Western countries continue their policy of escalating tensions, Belarus reserves the right to take a number of additional steps in the field of national security in 2021, said on Monday the head of the department of international military cooperation of the republic's defense ministry, assistant minister Oleg Voinov.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, Voinov on Monday in Minsk held a briefing for military attachés accredited with the department. The topic of the briefing is “Topical issues of military policy, construction and development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.”
“It has been reported that if the Western countries continue the policy of escalating tensions, the Republic of Belarus reserves the right to take a number of additional steps in the field of national security in 2021,” the press service of the Defense Ministry quoted Voinov as saying.
