An expert explained how to check a second-hand car before buying

MOSCOW, February 22 – RIA Novosti. The range of models in the secondary car market is large, but, alas, many of them may have breakdowns and technical defects, even with excellent appearance. Denis Migal, founder of the Fresh Auto network of car dealerships, told the Prime agency how to find out before buying.

“First of all, you need to check the car through special services and applications – there you can find up-to-date information about the number of owners, the presence of participation in an accident, being wanted,” the expert advises.

It is worth inspecting the desired car in the morning or in the afternoon in an open space; with poor lighting, you may not notice defects. Attention should be paid to the bolts that secure the body parts, paintwork, engine condition, etc. Rust should alert – this is a sign of a severe accident or poor body condition.

When buying a car originally from Japan, check to see if it sank. In this country, due to weather conditions, cars often flood during typhoons and showers. You can find out by the specific smell in the cabin and rust, which affects even the most hidden details, Migal said.
