An earthquake struck in Tuva and Krasnoyarsk Territory

KRASNOYARSK, 21 Feb – RIA Novosti. The earthquake occurred on Sunday morning in three districts of Tuva and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Tuvan Emergency Situations Ministry said.

A shock with a magnitude of 5.7 was registered at 8.37 local time (3.37 Moscow time) in the Todzha region, 85 kilometers east of the village of Adyr-Kezhig. The earthquake was felt in Todzha and Kyzyl districts and in the city of Kyzyl.

“Operational groups from among the employees of fire and rescue units and district administrations have begun to inspect social facilities. According to the operational data of the EDDS, there are no areas of destruction or injuries,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

According to seismologists, aftershocks of up to three points were felt in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. As noted in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are no injuries or destruction there either.
