MOSCOW, February 20 – RIA Novosti. Igor Burtasov, a member of one of the most dangerous organized criminal groups of the 1990s, was released, according to the online edition Chelny-biz, citing sources.
Burtasov, also known as Gosha, stood at the origins of the formation of the 29th complex grouping. He was found guilty of involvement in the murder of crime boss Vasily Lysykh and a former member of the organized crime group Marat Garipov.
Burtasov was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to 21 years in a maximum security colony. However, I was able to leave earlier.
The 29th complex grouping was created in Naberezhnye Chelny by Mansur Safin. It got its name from one of the districts of the city. In the early 90s, the criminal organization consisted of about five hundred people. The gang operated on the territory of Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Moscow, Moscow region and Ukraine.
Investigators have established the involvement of the organized criminal group in 21 murders, as well as seven cases of abductions and illegal imprisonment. The gang members received about 500 years in prison at all.
