Investigators of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kaliningrad Region opened a criminal case under the article on murder after the disappearance of a seven-year-old boy in the city of Neman, senior assistant to the head of SUSK Natalia Gatsko told reporters.
SUSK on Wednesday put on the wanted list a schoolboy born in 2013, who left his home in the city of Neman at about 5 pm and never returned. According to the municipality administration, the child could, presumably, fall through the ice. Information about the incident came from the Lithuanian border guards, who, seeing that the child fell into a hole on the Neman River, reported this to their Russian colleagues. A search for the student was organized, a search and rescue boat was used.
“On the fact of the unknown disappearance of a 7-year-old child from the Neman, a criminal case was initiated under the article“ Murder. ” “, – said Gatsko.
She noted that large-scale search activities are being carried out, in which employees of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, volunteers and local residents are involved. The forensic specialists of the Investigative Department use various forensic techniques, equipment for photo and video recording in their search. The streets and the surrounding area are examined, attics and basements are checked, investigators interview relatives, establish the child's social circle.
