NIZHNY NOVGOROD, 18 Feb – RIA Novosti. Police officers in the Nizhny Novgorod region rescued a native of the African Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, who froze on the highway due to a broken car, the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The dispatching service employees reported about the driver who got into a difficult situation on the Nizhny Novgorod-Kasimov highway near the village of Filinskoye, Vachsky district.
“The officers of the investigative-operational group drove to the scene. On the side of the highway, they saw a car in which there was a freezing driver – a native of hot Africa. It is not known how long he would have stood in the cold if the police had not come to his aid,” says the message.
Michel Kone Dissikuet told the police that he had been living in Nizhny Novgorod for six years. On a frosty February morning, the native of the African republic went to the regional center to buy a car for work. However, on the way back, the generator in the purchased car broke down.
“Upon arrival at the scene, the police put the driver in a company car and took him to the police station, where they gave the man hot tea, then called a tow truck and towed the car to a technical service, where it was repaired. The driver thanked the police for the help and continued on his way, promising that will be more prudent in the future, “the message says.
