MINSK, 18 Feb – RIA Novosti. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed his condolences on the death of theater and cinema actor, People's Artist of the RSFSR Andrei Myagkov, saying that his work has left a bright mark on contemporary art.
“President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent condolences on the death of People's Artist of the RSFSR Andrei Myagkov,” the press service of the Belarusian president said on Thursday.
Lukashenko noted that the numerous images created by Myagkov on stage and in the cinema have won popular love of viewers from Brest to Vladivostok.
“An outstanding actor, whose creative path has left a bright mark in contemporary art, a true patriot, devoted to the national culture of his country, has passed away … The fond memory of this wonderful person will always live in our hearts,” the text of the condolence says.
People's Artist of the RSFSR Myagkov died on Thursday at the age of 83. He played in such films as “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!”, “Office Romance”, “Cruel Romance”, “Garage”. Since 1965 he became an actor of Sovremennik, then served at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. Farewell to the artist will take place on February 20, he will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery.
