WASHINGTON, 17 Feb – RIA Novosti. The United States will look for new ways to promote strategic stability with Russia, despite the differences, said the head of the State Department Anthony Blinken.
In an interview with National Public Radio (NPR), Blinken listed American grievances against Moscow, including the Alexei Navalny case, alleged cyber hacks, the situation in Ukraine, and “election interference.” Russia rejects these charges.
“But at the same time, we were able to very quickly – since it is in our interests – to continue the START-3 arms reduction treaty for five years. And we will look for other ways to promote strategic stability with Russia, even though we are clearly saying, that their actions … are a challenge to our interests and values, “Blinken said.
He also added that Moscow and Washington must be able to work “on both fronts.”
