YAROSLAVL, 17 Feb – RIA Novosti. A resident of Yaroslavl, who gave her newborn daughter in 2014 to a married couple from Izhevsk, where she lived for six years until her biological father took her away, will face trial, the SUSK of Russia in the Yaroslavl region reported.
As follows from the materials of the criminal case, in April 2014, a resident of Yaroslavl, having learned about her pregnancy, decided to abandon the child, since she broke up with his father. The woman did not inform her biological father about her pregnancy, the investigation informs. On the Internet, the expectant mother published an announcement that she was ready to hand over the baby immediately after giving birth. After a while, a married couple from the city of Izhevsk responded to the ad.
“According to the agreement reached, the adoptive parents took the child immediately after giving birth and took him home, bypassing the procedure established by law. Later on, the biological father learned about the transfer of the child. In June 2020, the man arrived in the city of Izhevsk and took his own child, after which reported the incident to law enforcement agencies, “the message says.
The woman, who is currently 35 years old, as well as a spouse from Izhevsk, will face trial on charges of committing a crime “committing another gratuitous deal in relation to a minor who is obviously in a helpless state.”
“The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits. The child and his father live in the city of Yaroslavl. Nothing threatens the child's life and health,” the Investigation Department informs.
