MOSCOW, February 16 – RIA Novosti. There are currently no prerequisites for an increase in the cost of sausage in stores, said the press service of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Center for Agroanalytics” of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Kommersant newspaper wrote that meat processors in Russia are seeking from retailers to raise purchase prices for finished products, including sausages and sausages, in connection with the rise in prices for pork and chicken meat.
“Meat of chickens and pork make up a significant part of the cost of sausage products, but at the same time, due to current prices, they do not significantly affect the rise in the cost of production of sausage products, there are no prerequisites for price growth at the moment,” the FGBU believes.
They noted that the epizootic situation at the end of last year (ASF and avian influenza) had little impact on the cost of this production. But due to a not very large decrease in supply, producer prices will stabilize starting from the next quarter, they expect at the Center for Agricultural Analytics.
“To date, producer prices for pork and chicken are within a three-year range and below average annual inflation,” the press service also said.
