MOSCOW, February 13 – RIA Novosti. The Moscow prosecutor's office began an investigation in connection with the death of a man at a construction site on Lobachevsky Street, the press service of the supervisory agency reported.
“The Moscow prosecutor's office organized an inspection of the fulfillment of the requirements of federal legislation in connection with the fall of two workers from a height while carrying out work in an apartment building under construction on Lobachevsky Street,” the message says.
According to preliminary information, on February 13, two men were carrying out construction work in an apartment building. As a result of falling into the elevator shaft, one man, born in 1994, died, the second – born in 1999 – was taken to a medical facility.
As a source in law enforcement agencies explained to RIA Novosti, the deceased is a citizen of Tajikistan, both workers, previously, did not have an employment contract.
During the inspection, which is entrusted to the Nikulinskaya Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office, an assessment will be made of the actions of the responsible persons to comply with the requirements of the legislation on labor protection and safety during construction work, as well as building rules and regulations. Based on the results of the check, if there are grounds, the issue of taking response measures will be resolved.
