MOSCOW, February 13 – RIA Novosti. Senator Alexei Pushkov reacted sharply to the news of the blocking of the Twitter account of the Russian delegation at the talks on security and arms control in Vienna.
In his opinion, the administration of the social network is “overflowing.”
“Apparently, the company is not aware of the mood in Moscow,” Pushkov wrote in a telegram.
The Facebook and Twitter administrations regularly block users for no good reason. So, Twitter has banned the account of former US President Donald Trump after the storming of the Capitol. The politician was then accused of inciting violence, although he did not call for it.
Among Russian public figures, businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin and the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin have recently been blocked. Prigozhin's Concorde said it was due to criticism of President Joe Biden of the United States. Rogozin was temporarily blocked after he criticized the statements of former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul.
