Sputnik V vaccine supply allowed in Montenegro

BELGRADE, 11 Feb – RIA Novosti. The Institute of Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro has issued a permit to supply the country with a vaccine against the Russian-made Sputnik V coronavirus, the ministry said.

Currently, there is no mass vaccination in Montenegro due to the lack of a drug for immunization. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the coronavirus has been detected in more than 10% of the 620 thousandth population of the country, over 680 citizens have died.

“In accordance with the decision of the government of Montenegro … the institute … issued a permit for the purchase, or rather the import of the Sputnik V vaccine,” the regulator said.

Earlier, local media, citing sources, reported on negotiations on the supply of a Russian drug against COVID-19.
