MOSCOW, February 12 – RIA Novosti. Vladimir Putin has no plans to speak at the Munich conference, press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti.

“No,” he said, answering the relevant question.

The Munich Conference online event will take place on 19-20 February. It is planned that US President Joe Biden, European Commission President Ursula von Der Leyen, UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and US Special Envoy for Climate Affairs John Kerry will take part in it. Whether German Chancellor Angela Merkel will participate is not yet clear.

The Munich Security Conference is traditionally held in February. The forum usually brought together world leaders, politicians and experts in the capital of Bavaria to discuss topical issues in the international sphere.

The head of the conference, Wolfgang Inschinger, expects that in addition to the online event during the traditional forum dates in February, he will be able to organize a face-to-face meeting later this year. A full-fledged conference has not yet been given by the coronavirus pandemic.
