The All-Belarusian People's Assembly was held in Minsk on February 11-12, the total number of participants and invited guests was 2,700 people: about 2,400 delegates and 300 guests, including foreign ones. All regions of the republic were represented.
Earlier, Lukashenka said that the ANC should become a constitutional body and a stabilizer for the transition period when the government changes. The head of state also noted that he had a plan on the redistribution of powers in the republic on his desk. According to Lukashenka, the draft of the country's new constitution will be submitted to a referendum in early 2022, and the draft of the basic law will be prepared by the end of 2021.
