An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 hits Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, February 12 – RIA Novosti. An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 occurred on Friday morning near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to the website of the Kamchatka branch of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution of the Federal Research Center “Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences”.

It is noted that the earthquake occurred at 09.09 (00.09 Moscow time) Friday, 164 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 40 kilometers.

“The earthquake was not felt,” the regional headquarters of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti.
