The document was approved by the senators as a whole following the “government hour” with the participation of the head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Yegorov.
Thus, the government “is recommended to consider increasing the maximum amount of social tax deductions in respect of the taxpayer's expenses for paying for the education of their children (wards) in organizations carrying out educational activities, up to 100 thousand rubles, as well as increasing the maximum total amount of social tax deductions in relation to the taxpayer's expenses for tuition fees and for payment of medical services and medicines for medical use up to 200 thousand rubles, “says the document, the text of which is at the disposal of RIA Novosti.
The first deputy chairman of the budget committee of the Federation Council, Elena Perminova, explained to RIA Novosti that now the total amount of spending on social needs, from which a tax deduction can be obtained, is 120 thousand rubles a year. “We hope that if not this year, then maybe in 2022, this norm will be adopted,” the senator said.
Also, lawmakers ask the government to consider increasing the age limit for children (including adopted children) of a taxpayer who is an individual from 18 to 24 years old, in respect of whom “a social tax deduction can be applied in the amount of expenses for payment of medical services, purchase of medicines for medical application, amounts of insurance premiums under voluntary insurance contracts “.
