MOSCOW, February 10 – RIA Novosti. Former US President Donald Trump is unhappy with the opening speech of his lawyer Bruce Castor, which he delivered at a Senate meeting that considered the constitutionality of the process, CNN reported, citing sources.
Earlier Tuesday, the US Senate called Trump's impeachment process constitutional. 56 Senators, including six Republicans, voted for the constitutionality of the impeachment of the former president. However, 44 Republican senators, having voted against, made it clear that they intend to secure Trump's acquittal. It takes 67 votes in the Senate to impeach the former president. Trump is on trial on charges of instigating a mob riot that trampled the US Capitol on January 6 following Trump's rally calling for an obstruction of the election results.

According to the television station, “Trump almost shouted when Castor made incoherent arguments.” With the legal team formed just over a week ago, everything went as expected, one source told CNN.
In early February, Trump announced the appointment of two lawyers, Davin Schen and Bruce Castor, to lead his team of lawyers in the Senate impeachment trial. This happened after two lawyers – Deborah Barbier and Butch Bowers – left the team. Subsequently, the media reported that three more lawyers left Trump: recently joined the team, Josh Howard, as well as Johnny Gasser and Greg Harris.
