Russian doctors have found an unusual way of rehabilitation after COVID-19

MOSCOW, February 7 RIA Novosti. Doctors from the Veterans' Hospital in Yekaterinburg began to use pressure chambers for the rehabilitation of patients who have undergone COVID-19, reports Ura.ru.

According to medical staff, the equipment helps to put in order the lungs, as well as oxygenate other body systems.

As physiotherapist Yevgeny Derbyshev explained, oxygen is supplied to the chamber under increased pressure. “If somewhere there is a block in the passage of blood and oxygen transfer, we bypass it by oxygenating the cell that has suffered as a result of pneumonia,” the specialist said.
