MOSCOW, February 7 – RIA Novosti. Overhaul of four buildings of the Botkin Hospital in Moscow is planned to be completed by the end of the year, Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov told reporters on Sunday.
“The volume of work performed is quite impressive, the total area of the buildings in which the overhaul is being carried out is about 14 thousand square meters. All buildings will be completely renovated – from reinforcing floors and re-laying utilities to installing modern elevators and security systems,” he said.
According to him, repairs are being carried out at a high pace. He said that the specialists of the municipal economy complex are completing the laying of new utilities – the survey revealed the need to replace nine kilometers of cable networks, more than four kilometers of heating and about three kilometers of sewage and water supply.
“The buildings are undergoing reinforcement of ceilings and waterproofing, repair of entrance groups, replacement of window and door blocks, roofing and internal engineering systems is planned. The latest elevator equipment will be installed in all four buildings, medical gas systems and modern security systems communications, fire alarm, ventilation and air conditioning “, – said Biryukov.
At the final stage, the premises will be finished with high-quality materials; functional zoning will change in some buildings, he added.
“The modernization of the Botkin Hospital is one of the largest projects to create a modern multidisciplinary hospital, which is being implemented by the Moscow government. By 2023, it is planned to renovate and equip all buildings of this famous Moscow hospital with modern equipment,” Biryukov emphasized.
