RDIF announced registration of Sputnik V in 25 countries

MOSCOW, February 7 – RIA Novosti. The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev gave a forecast for the registration of the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus abroad.

“By the end of next week, we expect that only 25 regulators, 25 countries will approve our vaccine,” he said on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel.

The drug has already been approved in 20 states: Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua and Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina entity) as well as Lebanon and Myanmar.

“Sputnik V” is the world's first drug for the prevention of COVID-19, it was created by specialists from the Academician N. F. Gamaleya Center on the basis of a well-studied platform of the human adenovirus vector. The Russian Ministry of Health registered the vaccine in mid-August, and in December, Russians began to vaccinate with it.
